The Georgia Board of School Directors is accepting letters of interest from Georgia residents who would like to fill a vacancy on the Georgia School Board. The vacancy runs until March 2027, where the remainder of the term will be voted on at Town Meeting Day. Serving on the school board is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Georgia Elementary & Middle School and represent the community. This commitment involves attending 1-2 meetings per month.

In the letter, please discuss your background, experience, and why you are interested in serving on the Georgia Board of School Directors. Describe what strengths you would bring to the position, and any goals you may have. Prospective candidates are encouraged to review board meeting minutes at fwsu.org/page/gems-board. The School Board plans to decide at their next meeting on May 5th, 2026.
